Programme Highlights
The visit to Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station will offer an enriching experience at the newly opened Daya Bay Nuclear Power Science and Technology Museum. This museum is dedicated to showcasing the historical development and fundamentals of nuclear power, along with innovative nuclear technologies. One of the captivating highlights is the "Hualong One" nuclear island and turbine hall model, meticulously built to a scale of 1:4.
After the museum tour, a comprehensive briefing on nuclear power generation and the safe operation of Daya Bay will be provided. Additionally, participants will have the privilege of visiting the Training Centre and the Daya Bay Port, allowing them to gain deeper insights into the realm of nuclear power.
The primary objective of this visit is to enhance participants' knowledge about the various aspects of nuclear power generation, while fostering a better understanding and appreciation for nuclear power among all attendees.
Registration
The number of participants will be limited to 40 and applicants will be served on a first-come-first-serve basis. Priority will be given to the members of Nuclear Division. Valid travel documents for entering Shenzhen will be required. Please submit online application through https://forms.gle/nhTs5kyXyKGMLiPb7 30 April 2024. Successful applicants will be charged a non-refundable amount of HK$100 each to cover the administration of the visit and will be notified by email or telephone. Upon acceptance of the applications, the participants will be required to submit personal information on their travel documents for processing the entry into the power site premises. Please be reminded to bring along with valid travel documents and HKIE membership card on the day for verification.
