Notice of the 33RD Annual General Meeting (AGM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 33rd Annual General Meeting of the
Nuclear Division will be held on Friday, 17 April 2020 at 6:30pm at Chan Yat
Mei Sophie Room, the HKIE Headquarters, 9/F, Island Beverley, No 1 Great George
Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong for the following purposes:
To receive and confirm the Minutes
of the 32nd AGM.
To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Division for Session 2019/2020.
To receive and adopt the Financial Statement of the Division for Session 2019/2020.
To elect the Chairman and Ordinary
Members of the Division Committee for Session 2020/2021.
In case of adjournment of the AGM,
members of the Division shall check on the Institution’s website at
http://www.hkie.org.hk and the Division’s website at http://ne.hkie.org.hk
of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM.
Members
are reminded that if you come to the Headquarters to attend the AGM, you are advised to wear a surgical mask.
An Online
Technical Seminar - Fusion Plasma Technology from Nuclear Power to Industrial
Applications will be held after the AGM from 7:00pm to
8:00pm at Zoom (online video conferencing). For details, please visit the Division’s
website.

Nominations for Division Chairman and Ordinary Members
Division ChairmanThe outgoing Division Committee has
decided to nominate Ir Ryan LAM Chun Man for election as the Chairman for
Session 2020/2021.
No other nomination has been
received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members - under Clause
7.2(c) of the Division Rules
The outgoing Division Committee has
decided to opt for the maximum of 14 Ordinary Members, and five Ordinary
Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Ryan LAM
Chun Man, Ir Napoleon CHUNG, Ir Dr LUK Bing Lam, Ir Prof Herman TSUI Yik Wai and Ir Yani KO
Yik Yan.
Following the retirement of the
above Ordinary Members, there are five vacancies
for the Ordinary Members.
The Division Committee has decided
to nominate the following five candidates for the Ordinary Members for a
three-year term: Ir Dr Vincent FONG Ping, Ir Dr LUK Bing Lam, Ir Prof Herman TSUI Yik Wai, Ir Thomas KWOK Wang Mo and Ir Yani KO Yik Yan.
No other nomination has been
received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members - under Clause
7.2(d) of the Division Rules (i.e. Ordinary Members of the Committee who are of
35 years of age or below)
There are two vacancies for the Ordinary Members. The Division Committee has decided to
nominate following two candidates for the Ordinary Members
for a three-year term: Miss Anthea FUNG Bo Yin and Mr Stan MOU Wai Ki.
No other nomination has been
received from members by the nomination deadline.
